Every LIL Intensive and Extended program now ends with a three-week Incubator phase. In Weeks 8–10, students step out of the group classroom and into 1:1 work with an industry expert matched to their venture.
Each student gets three 45-minute sessions with a Subject Matter Expert from a firm aligned to their project—past mentors have included leaders from Morgan Stanley, Sidley Austin LLP, MasterCard, and top-tier CDMOs. During these sessions, students don't just receive advice. They produce a real deliverable that contributes to actual organizational work: internal banking app processes, litigation resources for high schoolers, market-specific business development insights, and more.
Students graduate with a venture that has institutional fingerprints on it—concrete, verifiable work credited to both the student and the partner organization.

Jane transformed a budgeting app concept into a financial resilience platform. She debunks viral consumer myths like the "Dupe Myth" using Cost-Per-Use logic, exposes pricing biases like the "Pink Tax," and built a "Reality Check" tool that translates social media must-haves into the hours of labor required to afford them. She graduated having mastered the professional venture pitch.

Mentor: Vice President & Strategic Business Unit Head, CDMO
Tim built a dual-impact project: an advanced analysis of economic shifts between oil-dependent and green-energy nations advocating for methanol as a pragmatic alternative to gasoline, paired with a specialized STEM curriculum teaching middle schoolers the intersection of carbon-cycle science and global energy politics.
